Come Hunt With Us
Pheasant hunts at Zwickey’z are built around the parts of the hunt that matter most: time with your group, the excitement of watching dogs work, and the satisfaction of seeing training come together in the field.
All hunts are by appointment. Please call or send a message to reserve your spot.
As Zwickey’z is a game farm, hunts may take place outside Wisconsin’s regular pheasant season. Zwickey’z season opens the weekend after Labor Day and runs until all birds have been sold, typically mid January.
Weekend hunts have a minimum of 6 birds. This is per group, not per hunter.
Weekday hunts are available on a very limited basis.
Hunts are scheduled in half-day or full-day blocks. Morning hunts run from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, with afternoon hunts from 1:00 PM–dusk.
Field assignments are based on the number of hunters, number of birds, and current field conditions. Specific field requests may be made when booking and will be accommodated when availability allows.
Everyone entering the hunting fields must complete a liability waiver once each calendar year, including minors and non-hunting guests.
A Wisconsin hunting license is not required while hunting on the game farm. However a hunter safety training course is strongly encouraged.
Blaze orange is required. At minimum, each hunter must wear an orange hat.
We do not accept credit cards. Cash and Venmo are accepted.
Before You Arrive
In the Field
When it is time for your hunt, one of our hunting fields will be stocked with the birds reserved for your group.
Hunters may harvest both hens and roosters, and there is no bag limit. However extra birds harvested during scheduled hunts are $10 per bird.
Hunters must remain in their assigned field.
No trespassing on neighboring private property.
Dogs must be kept under control at all times.
No smoking in the fields due to fire risk.
No alcohol consumption before or during the hunt.
Never aim or fire toward homes, buildings, roads, or any unsafe direction.
Unsafe firearm handling will not be tolerated.
Bird-cleaning facilities are available next to the office with running water, stainless-steel tables, knives, cutting boards, and basic cleaning supplies. Please do not field dress birds in the hunting fields.
Bird-cleaning service is also available for $2 per bird.
All birds leaving the farm must have a receipt. Please check out in the clubhouse to settle your bill.
Stick Around Awhile
Your hunt doesn’t have to end when you leave the field. Hunters are welcome to relax in the clubhouse or on the patio, swap stories, and enjoy some time with their group.
Coffee, soda, beer, and rotating treats are available for our guests. Larger groups are also welcome to bring food and make a little more of the day.
