About Us

Joe and Arlene Hakes -Owners

Zwickey’z was established in 1993 by Joe and Arlene’s son Dean and a family friend, Kurt, as a “pheasant paradise” for Kurts hunting dog, Zwickey. Zwickey’z has grown since then but remains a paradise for many.

Zwickey’z raises their pheasants from day old chicks and they are mainly used for hunting and conservation. On average they raises 2300 birds each year.

Zwickey’z partners with local Rod and Gun Clubs and members of the community to release pheasant into the wild.

We host several large hunts each year including the Pheasant’s Forever Women’s Hunt and The Fallen Outdoors Veterans Hunt .
